Visit the ACA Digital Technologies Zone stand# 633 at the EduTECH Expo for FREE!

The Australian Computing Academy (ACA) is a centre within the University of Sydney and are dedicated to supporting teachers and education leaders fulfil the requirements of the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies (AC:DT).

The ACA is unique in comprising of AC:DT authors, teachers and technology education experts. ACA use their expertise and passion for digital technologies to create free, curriculum-aligned, classroom-ready resources that enable teachers to confidently engage every student in the AC:DT.

The ACA Digital Technologies Zone is designed to meet the DT needs of all teachers and school leaders – FOR FREE!

The DT Zone will comprise three spaces: the DT Curriculum Space, the DT Hands-on Space and the DT Clinic.

The DT Curriculum Space is where the journey begins. Participate in rolling 20 minute talks by the writers of the Digital Technologies Curriculum and Computing Education Specialists, giving you quick overviews and take home messages targeting an individual Digital Technologies Curriculum Concept. Immediately after each talk, you can explore the ideas further through classroom activities in the DT Hands on Space.

The DT Hands-on Space is where you’ll see DT concepts in action. Explore the concepts in depth and work through practical activities for your classroom. These sessions are expected to much more interactive - an opportunity to ask those tricky questions, engage with hands-on activities and take the time you need to synthesize the concepts.

The DT Clinic is a “drop-in centre” where you can speak individually to an ACA educator and ask questions about the curriculum or chat about school specific issues. Bring along your units of work or assessment tasks to get expert advice. Whether it be for primary or secondary students, the ACA can troubleshoot issues around curriculum alignment and help provide guidance around the question “does what I’m doing meet the requirements of the new curriculum?”

No matter where you are at in your understanding of the AC:DT, the ACA want to meet you and support your journey through the ACA DT Zone!
