This Masterclass is intended to empower leaders to embed an approach to organisational change that builds on the inspiration from their attendance at EduTECH. It will explore how and why attempts at organisational change might fail and what leaders can do to set themselves and their colleagues up to succeed. As well as the theory of change, this Masterclass will give leaders a suite of tools to use in order to explore organisational change back in their own schools.
Attendance at EduTECH counts towards PD/professional learning activities which you can record with your relevant state teacher registration board.
Morning Session: The Fundamentals of Change
Mid Morning Session: Strategies to Change
This session will explore how and why attempts at organisational change either succeed or fail. Participants will understand the essentials required to lead change in their school, so they can take the inspiration from EduTECH and consider what and how to implement back at school.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able utilise a number of strategies appropriate to their context in order to encourage staff to commence and continue a change process.
Afternoon Session: The Power of Coaching
This session will outline the power of coaching in efforts to nurture change. Participants will explore how coaching can empower staff to create initiatives for change and create a culture in which schools can learn from the success or setbacks that arise from such initiatives.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will learn the key mindset and dispositions required to coach staff through a change journey. The skills learned in this session will enable leaders to free-up time by no longer feeling compelled to rescue others during the change process.
